>>> Low resolution version of Reynolds speech (OECD): Just over 8Mb in size Low res (8MB) Windows Media Video [Taylor Reynolds, an economist in the communications policy division of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.]

>>> Higher res version of Reynolds speech (OECD): Just over 18MB in size Higher res (18MB) Windows Media Video

Dr. Reynolds is really a good speaker and he says things the way they are. We all know what he is saying is true. Listen for yourself and decide.

Download Dr. Reynolds' presentation in PDF format.
---------------------------------------------

>>> ICASA representative Miss. Cohen WMV Progressive download around 8MB in size very good audio, but low res video... [Dr Tracy Cohen, a councillor at the Independent Communications Authority of SA.]

Dr. Cohen's presentation in PDF format

---------------------------------------------

>>> Deputy minister of Communications Roy Padayachie sums up Dr Reynolds and Dr Cohen's presentations. Low res Windows media video with good quality audio. Just under 2 MB in size... This is a humdinger in that he slams Telkom!

All hail Dr. Reynolds.

"...the thing thats worth noting is that this goes against all laws of economics..."

OECD - 1
Telkom - 0

He has my vote for SA Minister of Communications. Big ups to antowan for recording this and making it available.

Regards

If you listen closely he wasn't referring to Telkom themselves, he was referring to broadband connections, how you pay less for faster speeds, which is going against all laws of economics.

However, if you look at the underlying context, he's basically telling Telkom to apply modern economics rather than the "tested and tried" **** you learned at school 20 years ago.

Local loop unbundling!!!

Hi Antowan, when you get a chance, please could you post the md5sum for each of the files - I just need to verify if I have a corrupted download of doc.wmv, but also I want to download the high-res as well - it would be useful to have the md5sumz :).

PS: Against my downloaded copy of doc.wmv I get:
