Doc from Mac into Word ?

Help please. Need to watermark my quotes. I scan them on my Mac into "pdf 1 document. Finder , and there they are. Now how do I get them to show in Word so I can open them and add the watermark ?

Scan the quote as an image eg. jpg, insert the jpg into Word and resize as needed. Add watermark and then save as pdf.
