DoC plans more discussion and reports

This latest [-]initiative[/-] talk-and-no-action follows numerous other similar [-]initiatives[/-] talks-without-action by the communications ministry to [-]get[/-] keep its head [-]around the issue of ICT policies[/-] stuck in its arse.

ftfy.

Can they just shut up now and actually do something..

ANY action currently would be better than the complete lack of action.

I don't think they understand that communication entails more than just talking

unfortunately the water is so poisoned that it is difficult not to be despondent about the prospects of actually seeing an ICT policy that works and is politically tolerated. The lack of a Telkom representative on the panel gives me particular worry as does the fact that there are 22 people named when the enabling instruments limit the membership to no more than 20. I would not be surprised if the moment the panel makes a recommendation which somebody does not like that the legality is challenged: unfortunately unlike the LLU hearings if Telkom were to become hostile they'd have a legal basis.

More hot air from the Department of Cadres-with-no-clue!

Really? They can't even get that kind of basic shyte right??!?! :wtf:

If Telkom were to turn legal on Pule's arse, it could be to the advantage of the entire country, sadly it is highly unlikely that a company would take such action without the support of all remaining shareholders.
