DoC wants transparency on SMS, voice, and data prices

So she wants to tell ICASA to tell the operators to be more transparent about their prices?

Yes Dina more transparency is required.
BTW, that includes transparency from Dina herself, about all her and her BF's dodgy dealings.
 
Well.. The lower termination rates are indeed progress. It has gone a long way towards evening the playing field for service providers (as far as I know) and it has lowered prices for the consumer a bit. I actually agree it is logical to start casting an inquiring gaze on the pricing of products.

I have long been critical of the lack of transparency and have been very curious about the exact pricing strategy.

I will not criticize Dina too much today. My perception is that she has already been caught with her hand in the cookie jar and that's a bit damning, but I guess even a broken clock works twice a day.
 
I wonder how Vodacon will define a value for their "Premium" data. All Vodacom data is filtered through Alaska mountain streams and hand polished before it's sold to the consumer. Cell C will use the "but we are a new entrant to the cellular market excuse as ever" and MTN will just not respond to any questions.

What will probably happen is !CASA will sit on this for 4 years, then have a conference and invite industry players, then wait another 3 year and present a plan to hold a meeting where they invite all the industry players to discuss transparency.

Its all lip service. Nothing the DoC says actually means anything.
 
Can someone please write a browser extension that will block this lady's image and any articles regarding the DoC and ICASA?

They are a waste of time. Period.

Or an easier option:
RPM, can you replace all her images on your site with a turd wearing expensive high heeled shoes, and replace DoC & iCASA with muppet images.
