Doctors that do ultrasounds?

Hey guys,

I've went for endoscopy last year because my stomach has been killing me (ulcer type pains burning noises bloating) etc. The results showed nothing was wrong yet im still suffering.

Took antibiotics and a ton of nexium type tablets with no luck.

Anyways, the hunger pains have been bad and now my upper stomach is bloated every day. Not when i just eat.

I tried phoning around regular docs who could do ultrasounds but they don't offer it except to pregnant women.. Gastrologist costs alot so im trying to find a regular gp for now.

Im in Durban Phoenix, any suggestions?

The only thing I know of in that area that would benefit from an ultrasound is a gallstone check. Otherwise, another common issue with similar symptoms is pancreatitis (often diagnosed by enzyme levels via a blood test). The latter may be a cheap test, but will only show up shortly after an “attack”.

Hi. I suffer from similar discomfort, with severe burning in the lower abdomen. I've gone for an ultrasound on two occasions as to rule out possible appendicitis.
First time was requested by my GP at the time then went again some years later on advice of a Specialist Physician. Both times it was performed by a radiologist

Only ones I've seen with ultrasounds that aren't radiologists are gynecologist and urologists.

Perhaps the issue was the specificity of a “stomach” scan. Requesting a gallbladder check specifically may help. There is another scan called a HIDA scan, than can detect gallbladder distinction that isn’t gallstone related.

I also have no idea why i have all these issues especially the burning hunger pains
