Doctors Urge Mass Circumcision

In the US it is difficult to get clean needles and the government always opposes efforts to minimise the dangers of drug use. The US government has the delusion that making needles hard to get prevents intravenous drug use.

Fortunately despite an unsympathetic government there are countless otherwise funded initiatives. Even DC (the only city in the US barred by law from using local tax money to fund exchange programs) has at least one private initiatives. Its also reported as being the city with the fastest growing number of HIV/AIDS cases.

Earlier this year the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommended the procedure after three studies in Africa showed it reduced chances of contracting HIV by up to 60 percent.

So .. to get these stats accurately they would have to:
- Get 100 uncircumsized and uninfected males.
- Get some females.
- 50 of the males they would circumsize, and allow time for healing.
- All of the females they would infect with HIV, and allow the virus to multiply and spread throughout their bodies.
- They would then have a mass unprotected orgy (or gangbang .. depending on how many wimmin they got for this research), and carefully co-ordinate who sleeps with whom.
- Then they would have to wait to give the virus time to multiply in the men.
- Then they would go ahead and test for HIV in the males.

Nice.
I wonder how much they paid the participants.

and just a note: In SA, muslims (remove the foreskin) circumcise young babies in the 1st month after birth and the procedure is done at clinics by doctors who specialize in the procedure. And its always done under anaesthetic.

There is no balanced "pros and cons" on this issue. It's genital mutilation and violates the child's fundamental rights. Both those articles COMPLETELY ignore this... The second one even dares to claim that there's a difference between violating a boy and a girl in this regard.
