Hi All,

I'm thinking of doing some mods for my dodge cali 2.0 crd . I've been looking around for sport kits, bumpers, grills, any accessories but seems like no one has off the shelf stuff . any ideas where i can go check out some stuff, pref in the jhb area. I am still considering what i want done so for now i just want to know where i can get these things done, oh also would like to know of any reputable performance mods guys that i can go to.

TIA.

Thanks Killove, had a look at the link and im gona give 'em a call soon. Any ideas where i can get tinting done, i dont need/want the smash and grab stuff just ordinary tint. A friend of mine had a smash n grab and they still attempted to break the glass and eventually after much persistance got what they wanted to steal so i'd rather not pay R1600 for something thats just a little harder to break into. im looking for the ordinary tinting budgeting abt R600.

Theres a place on Sandler avenue, in Orange Grove called Klingshield who did my tinting..
if im not mistaken Big Boss could probably do it too..

Look for Klingshield in the yellow pages/phone book, ask em if they can sort you out

The Caliber has a VW/Audi derived diesel engine so Steves Auto Clinic can sort you with a plug in ECU.

As for the looks, I think it's hard to make that car look worse...

Just buy a Focus ST? It already has all those plastic skirts and spoilers.

I don't think they're fugly - I almot traded my Hilux in on the diesel, but the ****er at the stealership said they'd only give me R70,000 for my Hilux, R30,000 less than the minumum trade.

If a Caliber sounded like the car in the Caliber advert, I might have considered it.

But alas, it doesn't. I don't know about the diesel but the petrol sounds like 160i Corolla - not scary or brawling at all...

The petrol engine is to small I think, I wasn't impressed with it.

I wanted the 4x4 model, which I don't think we get here.

The diesel is a pleasure to drive and very very economical ,,,, abt 1000km on a full tank (50l) at average of 120km (long drives) and about 750km urban driving

Yes the petrol is a bit sluggish but the diesel is much more responsive and very torquey , also sounds not too bad , but thats why im looking into a few mods. a little more grunt would be perfect.
