I honestly thought that pro (bottle store) outweighed the con (loss of freedom) for a minute.Thank you for the wake up callFor a moment there I got weak at the knees because she owns a bottle store

Must agree I like the idea of alcohol deliveries being allowed.I absolutely believe it does so.
However, same as I believed with regards to the cigarette ban last year, smuggling operations and black market trading will inevitably promote the spread of the disease.
I think at the very least they can allow alcohol deliveries.
Any arrangement that minimizes the number of times people leave their homes, and at the same time keep them as content as possible at home, are the ideal solutions.
Boosting the illegal alcohol trade is a secondary concern - And not a small one. Same as it should have been while they were boosting the illegal cigarette industry last year.
Right, so my aunt caught it from hospital after a thyroid procedure. Should she be fined? It is not.
It's an utterly ridiculous proposition to suggest that individuals are always at fault for contracting the virus considering how the precautions have proven time and time again not to be 100% effective and that a lack of precaution from others can result in transmission.
What in the actual flying **** are you on about?Aaahh! So precautions don't work. Lockdowns don't work. Booze bans don't work. What does work?
Not getting tested. Not giving the twits in power the data they need to manipulate us. No tests = no positive results = no pandemic.
Yes, those individuals would be the ones in government. It's individuals that screw it up and why we can't have nice things.
I wrote it in English. Not that difficult to comprehend. What in the actual flying **** are you on about?
Not getting tested means not knowing if you should isolate and therefore running the risk of transmitting covid to all and sundry.I wrote it in English. Not that difficult to comprehend.
You know the sin tax on booze is exactly that, a voluntarily extra tax meant to mitigate the effects of people drinking, being irresponsible and putting extra strain on resources?I would have just added a temporary R10000 tax to every unit of alcohol. If someone gets drunk under those circumstances, you know they invested the effort, and they’ve basically already funded any hospital stay.

You do see the obvious flaw with your strategy, right?
