3m at 120? Wow. Thats a whole car gap.
30cm at 120 is not scary.

Could well be yes, or he could be that he's on a self-destructive bent - did other self-destructive things that did not involve cars.
There's no shame in admitting that I was nervous. Out of the four of us, three of us were drivers, and we trusted him with our lives, and not for him to play Russian Roulette with it.

I was not in the car so I cannot give a fair comment.
Atleast he kept to the speed limit?
Next time insist on taking your car.
Not the car but the passenger.
How fast do you think we would've gone if Miss Daisy was at the back?
He was just showing off to YOU.
Funny thing is this : I am not the kind of person that you have to impress. I was the one who advised him to go diesel in the first place. His car is impressive already, without it even moving, because it has some very desirable features. There was absolutely no need for him to show off to me.
I have a good car thanks but I'd never take it to it's limits, especially not with passengers in it.
Maybe he thought it would get him in your pants![]()
Should have been clearer, I meant get your friend a good car and let us know.
But you actually answered your own question. If you have a good car and you're not over-confident, then no, a car doesn't make you over-confident.
No one got in my pants that weekend. They did get body shots off me though

what do you mean he did the following? was he behind you?
ooooooh now I get it "he did the following" ......... then what he did. sorry
If you stopped being such a size queen you wouldn't have that problem![]()
. . .
We had a couple of hardcore charnas on this very forum telling us how you can speed in a BMW because it is made for it. Yes, it can go fast, but can you handle it when the car loses traction or you are confronted with another motorist doing something stupid?
He's never driven like this before, not even when we drove in convoy. Now, I'm just wondering whether it is that he's over-confident because of the new car, or whether he's testing it's limits, or whether he was just being a douche. Feel free to comment on the merits of his driving or on the car.
