Hi,

I have been trying to contact Neotel support on this number ==> 0800-333-636 , I get a voice prompt every time that says if I am an existing customer I must press 3, which I do, then press 2 for technical support which I do - then the line goes dead. I have tried all options and there is no answer from any of the options - the line always just goes dead - does anyone know if they have completely disbanded the call centre?

I do not get any response at all from emails either - so I am wondering how, if I have a technical issue, do I get it resolved - would it be expected of us(their customers) to actually drive to their offices for support?

My issue is that my RSSI is 86 - and I am wondering how I can improve this - is there a code I can use on the phone to find a base station that is closer to my house?

:(

Nope the ivr must be on the fritz. I have been having the same problem.
Its getting really annoying. I haven't had signal above 1 bar since Thursday.
I got through yesterday once and all they could say was:we are aware of the problem and were working on it.:mad::confused:

I get the same problem about half the time I call them - whether it is from a Telkom phone, or my Prime device.

From the time they started they have been hard to reach !!!
Follow the voice prompts and you get disconnected.
Aftre coming across this forum its changed my mind about swapping services from Iburst to Neotel.

stay with Iburst

Noetel is a SCAM, very similar to Nigeria's 419 scam
once they have you sign that 2 year contract, they disappear with your money

Long story short I was due for a swap-out on my new Neotel Lite modem,
to a Neotel Flex account.

Confirmed via phone this would be done & took the modem in early for exchange,
only got a call an hour before closing time,
"I was very busy today" - nothing had been done.

Rushed in to get the old modem back, since I depend on an after-hours internet connection.

At the shop I was again told "it's a lot of work to swap the modem, we don't really want to do

it".

I was then told they wouldn't swap it. I wanted the person responsible's name,
the owner then stormed in - accused me of `Sir, you've had too much to drink`
..hilarious actually?..

When asking the owners' name to report this to Neotel, he refused,
(a nameless red haired red faced person)
pushed me out the store with "I'm the owner - get out of my shop"

Saying I would take it up direct with Neotel, PostNet staff member (Tamulua Makinele) replied, "I

don't really care".

Anyway I care, enough to report this and help weed out the type of scum service consumers have to

sit up with.

This has been reported to Neotel(no response), PostNet, Northgate and the mybroadband & myadsl

forums.

So thanks to POOstNet's crap service, I'm stuck with this Lite package now - and the word SCAM makes me slightly more uneasy.
