Does a Router make a difference?

just something i'd like to know for interest sake...

Does it matter what router i have, meaning will some routers increase my internet speed? even at a minimal amount?

some routers can marginally increase SNR and ATT values for better signal, but this will not increase your max download/upload rates. So in essence no, your speed is controlled by telkom not your router.
