Hi

Thanks

go with openweb gold 384k u can get pure unshapped uncapped not funny stuff for about R540 a month, but on a 384k line you wont be shaped that much cause the line cant do that much of a damage to the network, us 4mb guys are the unlucky ones that get affected by uncapped shapped accounts

Openweb is an IS reseller...so they suck!

You do your name justice. Way uncool.

Take your advertising campaign elsewhere (and yes I see right through you, posting these hints all over). TackyRudeLame.

Openweb actually offers a good service and they support there products, dont blame an ISP just because you had bad exp with one of there BACKBones.

I'm not advertising, I'm talking from experience! Been with M-Web, Afrihost and Openweb - they are all the same.

I download 65-75gb per month on my IS account. It is one thing to defend your ISP and recommend it, but another to smear other companies. This thread was not even about an IS ISP problem and here you are picking on a very reliable company (2 actually). You've done it a few times already. Anyone wondering should read your posts.

Edit: 384 line, with no problems. It does what it's advertised (T&C included) and there's way's to make it do more.

IS is the problem, as was stated in an earlier thread. If Openweb are using IS then you will have problems with capping an uncapped line at quite a low rate.
Please don't defend the uncrupulous.

Oh, and their advertising is misleading since they show people downloading much more than is possible.

People that complain are usually more vocal. I don't have problems with my IS account and I'm making sure that the other side is represented too. Zero is going all over and saying negative things about ISP's. They have other products too - to attach them to IS/Seacom only is not fair to these companies.

If you're happy with IS, then I have to wonder how you are using it. Anyone using over 9Gigs in a month is going to get a shock. If you're just browsing then I can understand it.

Go with Mweb. They are the most stable because they have the most customers and most money, they are expanding faster than any other network.

That's a fair question. I'm just browsing and downloading (no gaming, no torrents, no funny business). That explain why I'm a happy camper, but those gaming have other options anyway. Download patches and updates with uncapped and play with capped.

Edit: I see you're an Afrihost victim. 9GB.:D

lol

Look, in all fairness, IS bandwidth is fast for gaming and so on, but it ends tragically very quickly. It is really a small capped account with the "uncapped" label.

infinite isp

i dont think IS is that bad, as i am with Infinite ISP and havent had any bad experiences and speeds are good, support is good... so i am happy :)

I think there ok as an example I can use 100gigs on my uncapped 512k lite account and it is only R299 so I dont think IS is that bad although they do shape a lot.

Guess you haven't read the Mweb feedback thread. Many complaints, even from fanboys like Rouxanator!

Have to agree - you want problems - go with MWEB. They were bad before the uncapped "free the web" crap and now it is even worse...

Someone should start a thread - " The worst ISP's is SA" - please also include in the list: branded internet and all their resellers like http://www.realityisp.co.za/ and don't forget about IS.
