Hi all
I fried a 250GB IDE HDD, and I can see on the PCB that it's only 1 resistor that got fried. I'm sure if I could find a supplier of micro electronics, the resistor won't be more than R20? G.T. Electronics & Rouleen in Boksburg doesn't stock these, and I can't find R.S. Electronic's details on the net.
Anyway, I don't have a soliding iron for this kind of work, and I don't see the need to fork out R200 for a solidering iron, just for this. So, does anyone in GP / Eastrand do micro electronics? And what would you charge me to change this one component?
