Does anyone know when the Samsung i780i is coming?

I want to buy an N82, the camera with the Xenon flash just looks soo good! :-) Kinda nice always having a "proper" camera on you. But, I also really want the i780.

When is it coming? The N82 is here already, and I'm sure I could find someone to sell it to me for a reasonable price - but I can't buy two phones ontop of eachother.

So the question is, do I wait for the i780 and how long, or just buy the N82? My contract is due for upgrade in September...so if it's only coming then, I'll buy an N82..and upgrade on the i780.

I was also deperately trying to get info on the Samsung i780

according to samsung outlet at vodaworld they expect an early realese around 2 or 3rd week in March , but i think that is very hypathetical if you consider how slow things go in SA...

I'm considering to also wait for the i780 since its a great phone , and
the only alternative is the Tytn 2 which i have to pay in a whopping 2grand on a tAlk 500, which i'm sorry I think is crazy....
And top that , rumours are it will even go up because of the bad exchange rates ...

Samsung is not as expensive as HTC , so i'm hoping to get i780 for free on Talk 500

Anyways if you got any news on i780 , will you please let me know

Actually just checked the specs now ... wow! Such a nice phone!

I'd guess R5000.00+ though? :(
 
Lol if theres one thing I hate about the I600 is the keypad.
Glad they fixed it!

I'm also trying to find out about the release date of i780. I would imagine it would be free on the Talk 500, as the HTC Touch dual is free on Talk 500.

I was looking at getting the Touch Dual , But all the Vodashops told me that you have to pay in around R1800

if you could let me know , would be great

i780 realese date

I don't have an exact date yet, but the i780 will be lanched the end of the month according to Samsung!
 
Will be available on Vodacom within the next 2 weeks. It passed the network tests, so just waiting for it to hit the shops.

I'm due for an upgrade. Tried phoning all over and none of the MTN outlets have it in stock. Most have never heard of it, despite the fact that it is advertised all over their glossy brochures. :confused:

Anyone here know of a place around Randburg that has stock of these?
 
I think they are in SA now, i just upgraded to the i780 and they told me i must just wait a few days for them to order the phone... its been two and im getting anxious, mtn in port elizabeth has a knack for *never* having decent/advertised phones in stock... i wanted the htc p3470 - went to get it last week, no stock in SA apparently, i was told to wait till the next brochure comes out. Then i found the samsung this week, went to go and upgrade and what a shocker... no stock...
 
Damn!! to late for me, i already ordered the bladdy thing on mtn for 299 on procall 120 :P Then again, my wifes on vodacom and every new tech seems to be a fight so maybe mtn isnt the worst option... the definite gps is awesome though... mtn inpe didnt even know it was a gps enabled device :(
 
I am due for an upgrade in the next few months, the I780 is high on my list, along with the S710. Of course, all that depends on what I get offered on on upgrade, do not want to pay in if possible.

My current phone is a D900, need more a PDA phone for the features. The GPS would come in handy, but not a critical feature.
