Like from a PC with a web browser or is the only way to transact by using the smartphone app?

I wanna move from TymeBank as my main transactional account.. Looking at low-cost alternatives.

Seemed like something they would answer in their FAQs and wouldn't you know it:

Thank you. Yeah I should've checked FAQs. Will do so now!

No just use Capitec bank.
I have a Capitec account but stopped using it after they froze my account due to "unusual activity" (my brother, the executor of my deceased mother's estate, transferred my inheritance from the estate's L&D account at ABSA - that's it).

What pissed me off was that there was zero communication from Capitec before this happened, and it was at the end of a month when all my debit orders had to go off. Their call centre couldn't assist. Their consultant at the branch couldn't assist. The only way I could regain access to my account and MY money was to make a huge stink about it. Finally I was given contact details of their forensics department (who are actually not allowed to deal directly with the public, how convenient for them). Took about two weeks to sort out.

I have no need to manage cash (either withdraw or deposit) so I don't care about queues at bank branches or ATMs. A digital-only bank would be fine.

Just a bit sad that I wouldn't be able to login to a Bank Zero account from my PC, which has a nice big screen and full keyboard. It's just more convenient. But it's not that huge of a negative.

If it wasn't for all my bonds I would move all to Bank Zero, currently using it for my company - zero banking fees for a business is a no brainer
