Hi there,

I need some help understanding the influence that multiple domains have on Google indexing.

Put simple, say i have a primary domain called www.mydomain.co.za and a secondary domain
called www.my-domain.co.za that is permanently redirected to the primary domain and, very importantly, has more search volume than the primary domain.

Will this improve my search position:twisted:? or will it have no influence at all:p? or perhaps decrease my search position because Google thinks i am ****ing with their algorithm to improve my search position:cry:?

If my-domain.co.za had link juice it would move over to mydomain.co.za then yup believe it would - also by redirecting traffic you will be getting more hits anyway right ? I am sure traffic has something to do with it as well - however I believe this would wear off as it were and not count perpetually IMO

yep, links are Googles ranking factor. But not any links, Google knows fake links and non related stuff which provide no benefit that legit links so yeah cross link your sites

Untrue, content is Google's ranking factor.

A 301 does nothing to benefit your search ranking.
