Ordered Fibre from Afrihost on the 14th March, it has now been 37 days since my order, the line has been installed on the 8th April and been dead since.

If I don't contact Afrihost they don't seem to care and when I do contact them all they can say is they have sent an email to FrogFoot.
I work from home still and I've explained the importance of me getting connected multiple times but seems to mean nothing.

Let me not even get started how many times the Frogfoot guys have made me waste my whole day waiting for them and then never show up and then the days they do show up they come to a complex without a ladder, promise to come back the next day with a ladder but never show again making me waste another day.

Messaged @Frogfoot Fibre and was told to email [email protected], which was a waste of time once again as its nothing but an automated response over a week ago.

At this Point I'm extremely frustrated and feel that I should tell Afrihost to send a courier to pick up their router, Rip the FrogFoot **** of my wall and leave it outside for them to collect, then go with 5G.

Morning,

Apologies for the delay in the installation.

Can you please send me a pm with your email address so I can investigate for you?

No. You just got **** service from both parties. What a shame. Hope it gets sorted soon!

I am with Afrihost. Told my brother in law to go with VOX. He gets 4 times better service from them. They actually send a texh to install a modem and leave when it is working.

Hi there. Thank you for raising this with us. Please can you send us a PM with our contact details so we may have a look for you. Thank you.

Unfortunately as I explained to OP that we have escalated multiple times including myself. Frogfoot didn't respond yet. There is home drop issues and the contractor keeps rescheduling due to outages that take priority over home drop issues.

Lady from Frogfoot called on Wednesday shortly after this thread regarding my Social Media complaint and said a Technician is scheduled to go out and will be here by 17:00 - 17:30, needless to say that never happened, just another weekend without connectivity again.

I need to speak to the Body Corp about allowing Vumatel into the complex as the area is covered just not this specific complex, All the neighbouring complexes have Vumatel and hassle free. Not sure whose bright idea it was for only this specific complex to have Frogfoot.

You say you work from home and then you say they wasted your whole day waiting for them?
I put the day in as leave as I'm a support consultant so if they had to come through I can't leave my PC.
As well as had to ask a friend to pick up my partner from work as I needed to ensure I was at the house in the event they actually showed up.
But Personally for me its the principal of promising to be there multiple times and never showing up, I consider that a big waste of my time knowing I can't go anywhere even if i wanted to because I know I'm waiting for Frogfoot technicians.

Nice angry rant. Seems the biggest issue is with frogfoot. I heard similar stories from a few frogfoot users. Install / repairs teams cant seem to cope with demand.

I'm with openserve/afrihost. My initial install took about two weeks as my openserve jobcard got "lost" or something. But since then no worries really with good service from Afrihost, especially (if not exclusively) from the mybb reps.

What has been the experience of your neighbours in the complex?

Hi,

Sorry for the issues experienced.

Frogfoot hasn't given us an ETA on the fault but advised that the fault is with maintenance to attend as soon as possible.

I will follow up again for you and provide feedback as soon as any is received.

I've only been staying here for 3 weeks now and it seems everyone keeps to their selves here so still trying to get to know everyone, my immediate neighbours close by all don't have fibre installed.

How is the physical infrastructure Afrihost's problem? Do you know the difference between an FNO and ISP?
The issue from Afrihost was the lack of communication, If I didn't call I would get no update, speak to support agents who promise to call back but they never do. They never seemed to want to escalate the issue to Frogfoot even though its soon going to be 4 weeks longer than the already 2 week estimated connection time.

Just wandering if anyone in your complex actaully has an active frogfoot fibre. I.e. is it an individual line problem or a larger estate problem.

Also, just putting it out there. It might be easier (and cheaper) to upgrade a working 25mbps fibre line to 50mbps than to get a dead line going...
