Does internet TV really need a huge data bundle?

Really?
Article is about Showmax only...
Stating the obvious, are you?

I agree though, should be stated in the heading aswell. Same can be done on Netflix aswell and WTH is it doing on MyGaming :wtf:

New from Showmax! Save bandwidth by restricting your resolution to 360p on your 50" display! Now you can have the same utter ****e quality of DSTV direct from kakmax!

We watch about 3 hours of UK programs a day using Filmon. Don't have a problem on Telkom Uncapped.

We're currently streaming an average of 17gb per day... school holidays are brutal :o

Watch a show at top quality (higher than DSTV HD)on Showmax >1Gb, same show on Showmax using DSTV (HD) decoder >2.5Gb. So depends on how you are accessing it. Also depends on whether you are downloading or streaming. Downloading is better. Streaming has potential to get cut off (power failure?, finger error?) and it has to start from the beginning again .

With most streaming services you can fast forward, rewind, restart - is Showmax somehow different?

If you leave the Showmax section, on purpose, by accident or you decoder goes off, you looses the buffer and have to start again. You can ff, rw, pause and rewatch as long as it stays in the buffer.

Also will DSTV refund me for the 2 times I downloaded Pitch S1E10, only to find, both times, halfway through it reverts to S1E9?
