Does Malema want to be white?

That Malema is a fool is without question...or he is cleverly manipulating the masses by saying things that are music to the ears of impatient impoverished people. Either way he is a danger to SA's future and if the ANC doesn't reel him in he will create trouble. FFS who goes to Zimbabwe etc to learn about nationalism?

I f Malema wants to be white does he realise he will then have to actually work for everything?

However, lets not re-write history becuse of that, and let's not conveniently forget the past.

We all know that SA's white population had an advantage because of their manipulation of other races. There were laws enacted into parliament to give them a pronounced advantage...without having to work harder. Govt (i.e. nationalised) companies were created...ISCOR, ESCOM, SAR&H etc and laws such as "civilised labour policy" meant that whites had first go at jobs, only got white collar or 'driver' jobs, whereas coloureds were labourers (and blacks not even given the right to work).

My parents (with no education) worked their arses off (guess what we had to work) from hawking wood and fish, filletting and stringing fish until 3am in baths of ice then on road with horse-cart , later 'bakkie' then getting a truck and eventually starting a cartage business. We could not tender for government work, yet migrants from Europe who are the people you say "worked for their money" were given a leg up and could get work, and generally my dad had to hire out the trucks for lower rates to get work. He worked from pre dawn to late at night 6 days a week as long as it took to get 6 kids through uni...and yes when we wanted to do Medicine we had to be amongst the top ten in state because that was the 'quota' that UCT could take out of 120 in first year...so we my friends had to work 12 times harder to get the same.
No actually more given that whites had a choice of probably ten med schools nd only two were allowed to tke ten only under 'permit'

Blacks given work by him were constantly arrested by police, as I as a 10 yo had to hide adult people with dignity under my bed pretending to do my homework when the police stormed in.
These people gave up their liberty in order to work...whites were not the only ones that wanted to...they were the only ones that had work guarranteed, with thye poorest given 'railway houses' and jobs...people that had less intelligence and class than the guy I hid under my bed.

I am not saying 'pay them back' ...most people are too gracious for anything like that. I have said malema is a radical who should lose his power.

But lets not bull**** about history...let's not rewrite it. History is preserved and protected by the truth so that no-one does the same criminal acts (yes criminal acts) again.

cheers...and chill.

Nice article Ozzie!!! It's not easy to sympathize with the white minority when most of them constantly attack Malema but don't do the same with Eugene Terreblanche's AWB members. A while back a fool by the name of Visagie threatened a studio guest live on air and "white" people right here on this forum defended his actions and said he was provoked, but the same thing will not be said if Malema does something similar.

You guys can go on and on about Malema, differentiating yourself from him by mocking his matric results and his "poor" English. But that doesn't change the fact that most farmers' use of the English language is "in most cases" poorer than black people's use.

The things Malema has said over the past few weeks and the inaction of the ANC to silence him suggests to me that land reforms in this country will happen, the nationalization of mines in this country will happen. So while you guys make yourselves feel better by mocking Malema's stupid public announcements, he's becoming more influential and more powerful. I also think that last week's performance by Malema regarding the BBC journalist has made Malema a famous man in the world. I'm sure that his "dictatorial display" last week has possible caught the eye of some Russian Oligarchs or Chinese Business people and will probably back him financially to become president of SA so that they can steal our minerals at the expense of South Africans. Same thing that's happening in Zim right at this very moment.

If you can't beat them, join them!!!!

there are times when i just sit back and smile and say to myself...........SA has a village idiot named julius malema the USA has a village idiot named kanye west *grin*

Its our humor, laughter, braaing, beer, and partying culture that brings us together. lets show dem we can build a better South Africa You Tube find:

Thanks Sly21C,

When I speak to my SA friends they laugh apologetically about Malema as if he is a temporary joke. He isn't. He is saying things that resonate with the poor and illiterate and as you say with China et al too. When he comes to power he is no longer going to be a joke.

People in SA , instead of giving him publicity by making jokes about him, should be pressuring the ANC to shut him up and you need to start engaging the people who pay attention to him rather than abusing them.

He is one of the the most serious threats that SA faces.
