So my contract expired and was running month to month. Cancelled it middle of last month but my last bill will be at the end of Oct. The amount that went off my account yesterday however was R150 odd rand more than what my invoice stated.....never happened in 12 yrs. This some kinda naafie hounding or what?

If your contract has run its full course then there is no "Cancellation" fee at all (I know as I have personally cancelled a contract after my account switched from contract to pay-as-you-go). If I were you I'd go to a MTN store and get your money back - unless it was something else they charged you for (maybe an added service you had when you were still on contract?) - but never the less I'd go in and see what they say.

No there should be no fee's at all.

I had a contract on MTN and after 24 months they advised me its now on month to month. Called 808 and while on the phone they changed it to PAYG and after about 20min the sim was changed to PAYGO. No debit order or fee that I had to pay.

I did exactly the same. No problem there. However, the billing of the contract doesn't stop for another month since they bill in arrears. So I will still have a bill coming the end of Oct. However, the deduction for end Sept was more than what my invoice reflected...almost like they added to it just to spite me.

Maybe just a system error. I must still go into MTN to find out.
