Does Mtn fixed LTE only work on LTE?

Guys I purchased Mtns Made for Home 120GB fixed LTE deal yesterday. But unfortunately it's not working from my location.Does it work only on LTE? Or can one use 3G and HSDPA? How do I get it to work? I'm aware it's allocated per user and per tower. But it doesn't seem to work for me. Although I can manually choose 4G but it fails. What could be the problem?

Give it time, new sim and contract can take a few hours, ie a day or more to activate properly

All Fixed LTE deals only work on LTE and not 3G or the like. Also, it would be using a different tower than your standard LTE. I am not technologically advanced as some, but my Cell C fixed LTE only had coverage in a certain area with their roaming, yet our area has full LTE on standard deals. So when they cancelled their roaming on fixed LTE, I had 1mbps downloads...yet my prepaid LTE sim has 43Mbps.

That being said, yes, it only works on LTE and will not connect to roaming or 3G networks.

Also, it seems some networks take longer to populate. My Cell C was within a few hours. My Telkom now is on day 2 and nothing (Some have waited 5 days!!). Not sure with MTN, but give a day or two.
