Hi I have couple of questions about myisp. I hope someone can help. I want to buy some gigs from myisp. But do not see prepaid on their site? and if they do offer prepaid, is there data carry-over, and for how long? and why do we have to complete a paper application and fax in these day an age?

If I choose the month-to-month account, is there data carryover?

Sorry their FAQ section is still under construction.

Thanks
S

Maybe you should ask them these questions? If it doesn't say anthing about it on their site then surely they don't?

If you don't want to mess around with applications get prepaid from Axxess, I haven't used prepaid from anyone else but Axxess works fine.

Thanks--I will call them today.
I use axxess BTW. sums: R70/GB (x3GB=R210) and valid for 12 months; if MyISP offers the same for R60/3GB and valid for ?, then make sense to go with MyISP. Correct?

I always get a little bee in my bonnet when people make this suggestion.... What is the point of this forum? Just publishing news articles?

There is always the chance that someone else on this forum has used them and knows the answer. In giving the answer on here the rest of us will also then learn.

If everyone asked things they wanted to know elsewhere this forum would be rather quiet and not be the valuable source of information it is!

ASIDE and Off-topic: Thanks, L, for chipping in. I totally agree with you--in fact i deleted my first response to Techrat, because i did not want to instigate anything. From his/her post count, it does seem like he/she is still learning about forums -;)

I know well enough about forums, I just think it doesn't make much sense to ask on a forum and have to wait who knows how long for a response, when you can ask the company who actually offers the product and find out straight away.

There might not be anyone who knows anything at all (as I have so often discovered, and as you have discovered here), when you find out then you can tell us as well.

If you want the cheapest prepaid that's Afrihost (at R49 I believe), but it requires some sign up process.

I signed up for afrihost instead-- afrihost--slick service and instant activation! BTW the prepaid is R39/GB, and NEVER expires (check their website).
