So I phoned Neotel on there toll free number to enquire about there service & coverage in Century City .. this friendly lady answers.. she looks up the address and tell me in her dialect what is availible there however I did not understand her english dialect very well and requested nicely that she mail me all the info.. which at that stage I confirmed my email address 3 times...

So couple days went past heard nothing from them... then mailed there support requesting the same info... and yes its Saterday and still nothing from them....

Just wanna say you people at Neotel really off to a good start taking on Telkom..

Guess applying for Telkom DSL will be faster after all

Cheers

Space Cowboy - whatever you do, don't go Neotel. Be grateful that you've had no response because once you've signed up, their response will be even worse! Stay clear of Neotel if you value your sanity. They make Telkom a walk in the park.

Also deciding

I've also been considering signing up with Neotel once Seacm goes live.
But it seems that the undersea cable isnt going to solve local issues.

neotel will stay crap - just quickly ran speedtest to check id there is any change in speeds. think it is slower than always.

anyway do not use them. telscum might be raping us but at least the line works....

I have to admit that my Neotel connection has gotten progressively worse ever since first getting it back in Feb. I couldn't recommend Neotel with a clear conscience to anybody at this stage. In the beginning it was like having wireless ADSL, now it's a lot slower and even more unstable than Vodacom HSDPA. Stay away. I'd move if had other options where I live.
