I want to know if I join an IS ISP, I still connect to a telkom DSLAM Port and go through their network until it peers with IS.

Does this mean that I'm still subject to whatever telkom want to do with my data before it goes onto ISs net ?

No,

I have tested this. It bypass the Telkom bandwidth colud.

You connect to a dslam port which connects you to IS throught IS's ipconnect link...not the peering link

Are the IS ADSL accounts subject to the same connection reset every 24 hours as with SAIX ADSL accounts?

Technically, they dont have too, but I think its in the whole IPC contract that Telkom enforce other first tiers to also do a maximum reset of 24hrs, pretty retarded.

Please someone answer this concisely once and for all:

Im on SAIX at the moment, my P2p does not work, ok maybe 2k but in my opinion it might as well be dead.

What is it like on IS?
