The technology stack of Silverlight (and WPF for that matter) has moved over to WinRT.
Microsoft has given up on the in-browser plugin world, but guess what? HTML5 will not be used to write enterprise class applications (imagine Office in html5, it would be pathetic).
Rather, Microsoft will focus on supporting html5, but will offer their developers a much richer SDK to write "real" applications on. A good move in my opinion.
