I want to do some online gaming and i want to know if its the speed that counts or should you have good ping and latency and thats all:confused:

And to get a good game what should your ping be internationally and localy?

Start, Run, cmd.

ping games.saix.net

That's the local SAIX games server. Or just ping whichever servers you're looking to play on. For the local servers you should get a ping of less than 80ms regardless of which backbone you're on. For international it varies alot, but you should be able to play with a latency of 300ms-500ms depending on the game.

...and your linespeed won't affect your latency (at least not on local servers) Not sure about intl servers

Int. seems to be much nicer unshaped with a 1-4MBps line.

You still won't be able to play FPS with any comfort, but WoW etc will run nice and smooth.

Yip and i looking to up grade to 1mbps so i want to know if its going to be better?
