I am looking to buy a Huawei B593 as my current MR3420 died. I went looking for the router at the Sandton Telkom shop but they told me they dont sell routers anymore without a contract. I have an existing 10+10 promo contract.

Can someone confirm if this is true? I tried phoning other branches but no one bothers to answer the phone.

Depends where you buy.

Telkom Direct shops will sell it to you as a prepaid device.

Thanks Thor but takealot has it cheaper but my problem with both is I dont know which model they are selling. I need the B593-S601 to be able to get Telkom LTE.. thought it would be easier to get it from telkom as they would be selling the correct model..

Telkom is cheaper than Wootware, this wet nose does not know what he is talking about.

Makro is currently more expensive than Wootware..

Check Edgars, i got mine for R1499 on prepaid towards end last year (B593s-601). Not sure if the promo is still running though. Awesome awesome router that one if you have LTE coverage you will wonder how you managed with the MR3420

telkom direct and mobile stores in Sandton dont sell prepaid devices anymore. Edgars does sell the router but dont have stock at present and they cant tell me when they are going to get as well..

dont maybe know what the price is at CNA? Edgars has it on special for R1499..
