I just switched my data and ADSL line services (both 2mb) over to Telkom as of 30/04/2014. I accept that there is P2P throttling during the week and specifically during office hours, as most ISP's are doing this.

As a result I've started doing my P2P specifically of the weekends

What I can't understand is that my P2P downloads are being throttled during the day on a weekend (since 6am this morning)? Is that part of Telkom's AUP? My downloads ran fine overnight, 5gigs completed between midnight and 6am.

Since Jan of this year I've used both @lantic and Openweb as ISP's and on both services I could run my P2P downloads on the weekends 24/7 (Friday night to Monday morning non stop, no throttling)

Does Telkom throttle P2P downloads over the weekend?

The issues quoted in that thread seem to be specific to streaming services not P2P downloads and are centered in Cape Town (I'm in Bellville)

I've read through the threads and it seems there is always some kind of network problem with Telkom.

What I would like to know is whether it is policy for Telkom to throttle P2P downloads on the weekend?

I'd take it more as a general thread, even if it is more streaming focused in the last few pages, but my torrents are very hit and miss this week, and my speeds are very erratic, webpages not loading properly... Hopefully it will be fixed ASAP... sadly don't have more details than that.
