Any Vodashop or other Vodacom suppliers here? Does anybody know where I can source a HSUPA capable modem... on a corporate account?
I have been struggling with Vodacom-SP for almost a month now to get a HSUPA capable modem but I just don't get any modem (excuses = plenty)
First I was offered E272 after the dude confirmed stock no problem (again ... sales folk dont seem to know *****)
Then a few days later when I enquired when I can get delivery, was told... oops no stock no more of E272, they're sending a K3715 modem, then a few days later "no stock" they'll send the Novatel MC950D, then a few days later "no stock, only HSPA capable modem VC have is the K3715".... still waiting for delivery... now the excuse is "all HSPA modems are discontinued" they can send me a K3520, which is NOT a HSUPA capable modem.

Is this why Vodacom can now offer HSUPA for free, coz there are no modems (apart from the ones already in circulation) available to use it???
Of all the VC suppliers, I would have thought VC-SP would be the most capable of service... and stock availability
MTN has plenty HSPA modems... granted its only the E270 and E170, but at least they have... but my one user for whom I need the HSPA modem refuses to go back to MTN because of their k#k service in other areas....
I'm ready to tell VC-SP to stick the order up their wazoo, and forget about getting our corp accounts... but can it really be true that VC has no HSPA modems, and no plans to get... are there nothing available at Huawei or Novatel or the other suppliers? Is the purchasing/planning guy in VC on long leave?
