Does vodacom care if i root to use titanium backup?

Title. I've been too scared to do anything to my galaxy ace so far because I'm worried about my warranty, but if I just unroot if I ever have a problem will they care? I'm thinking of getting CM 7.1/7.2 but I want to be sure I have a backup plan.
 
Just unroot and get the phone back to stock. Well that's if you've played around with Roms at all. Then you'll be fine :)

Exactly. Just unroot and flash the original kernel and you should be fine. Oh, you might have to reset the ROM counter as well (if your phone has one).
 
easier way

There is an easier way to root your phone without needing ROMs etc..on the Android Market there is an app called "z4root" if correct. it's free to download and it roots your phone with one press of a button and you can just unroot it with the same app as well. i used it on my sony erricson xperia x10 mini and worked fine.

Awesome, now I just need to find somewhere I can download the original rom from. Can anyone find a samsung XWKPU release for me? Aka the 2.3.3 release.

This won't work for all devices. Especially newer ones.

As far as I can tell, they don't care. Many people have taken their rooted phones back without any hassles from VC.
 
They hardly care to be honest. If u do brick your device you can always take it to a samtech centre and pay R100 for a reflash of software.
 
Did anyone root their Samsung Ace (in this case Androis 2.3.6) and then took it back to Vodacom? but not Altec AutoPage or Nashua. What did they say?

I have a Vodacom contract and one of my phones (Samsung Ace 2.3.6) is acting up a lot so I want to "upgrade" to ICS and see if that solves the problem.



I'm looking for actual user experience, not some suggestions...
