Does Vodacom have a "rewards" system for contract customers?

MTN have the loyalty program, which isn't upto much, but you get points that can be used to buy airtime, data or sms bundles.

I'm aware of the Vodacom talking points program, but does Vodacom have any sort of rewards or points system for contract customers?
 
So, no way of getting extra data maybe? The fact that the extra minutes can only be used for Vodacom numbers is a real bummer. I don't need any more minutes than what the packages offer, but could do with some extra data. It would have been better if they rewarded you with points, so you can choose what to do with it.

But then that means VodaCom will make less profit. :(

Making less profit is something that our service providers haven't heard of. Besides, if they give you free minutes, data or sms's, it doesn't cost them extra and they don't loose out. Rather give us cash back, reduce our contract subscriptions, reduce call and data charges. (Now that will affect their profit, so we can forget about it ever happening).
 
I got the following SMS yesterday:
"Vodacom is RED and RED is MORE! We thank you for your support and loyalty over the last 17 years. As a gesture of our appreciation Vodacom will pay your April bill for xxxxxxxxxx [my number]. Look out for the credit on your May statement."

Assuming this is true, it must be the first real loyalty benefit I got from any service provider. I don't consider crap like points, etc loyalty benefits. Hard cash or a cash equivalent like in tis case is what counts for me.

Good on you Vodacom! Hopefully there will be a next time and it will not take another 17 years.

It is true. It is a legit reward....I received the memo regarding this. Congrats and wow....17 years and you must be one of the first 10 000 customers to have signed up with Vodacom to have qualified for this. Well done.

This sounds like an opportunity to stock up on data bundles. :D

Joking.. They'll give you a credit of the amount of your statement the following month, so that'd be dumb..

The qualifying criteria for this reward consists of two things:

1. You need to have been a continues client of Vodacom. Porting and then returning would have broken that.

2. If the first condition is met, then you need to have been one of the first 10 000 clients to have signed up with Vodacom in 1994.
