Doesnt seem right ?

Can someone please explain to me how this is happening, I am on MWEB 1Mb uncapped and phoned telkom this morning to reset the port or whatever it is they do, and after a router re-set my speed tests are really much faster than they used to be. How is this possible if MWEB should be limiting me to 1Mb speeds ?
