Dog necklaced amid riots

When the dog was discovered, the rubber and the dog’s body were already cold.

In a shocking turn of events, a dog was necklaced in Nelson Mandela Boulevard just 100 meters from the Thembalethu Police station – the most horrific incident of violence since the riots erupted on Tuesday afternoon in Western Cape, George Herald reports.

The perpetrator/perpetrators placed a tyre around the dog’s body and set the tyre alight, leaving the dog to die a horrific death.

A journalist from the George Herald, Zolani Sinxo, discovered the dog at about 12:00 today.
