Dogecoin

I had 150 DOGE coins. Sold some other ill-perfoming coins and bought another 300 @ R2. Never sold them. I'll wait for it to dip once more and buy more.
Also looking at buying some BTT. Cheap, and who knows if it also doesn't burst a bit in future.

Interesting thing about DOGE is that there isn't a cap, so it could potentially keep going up forever. I'll HODL my 300 coins. If it happens, I'll be set. If not, I haven't really lost anything.

If there's an unlimited amount I don't think the value can continously go up?

Supply and demand would drive price? If there's an unlimited amount, will the demand be as great as for maybe bitcoin that has a set amount (there's apparently a stated amount of time it will take to mine all but I didn't check any deeper so someone here will know better)

If DOGE drops, and it will, I will buy more. It has shown its hand. And with Elon Musk tweeting about it regularily it's a matter of time before it shoots up again.

Already 20% off today... if this 26c breaks, looks like 18-20c could be good for a long bounce buy on the fib, after that 14c

Crypto is going to crash again. The amount of stupid money right now is nearing 2017 levels. Coins with no value are being gobbled up. It's all artificial value. Wait for the crash to buy again.

That will make mining worthless again thought right? The difficulty doesn't decrease when the value decreases if I remember correctly.
Might be the time to pick up some coins again on the cheap.

Don't know really. ETH 2.0 is coming and there aren't many details on how to mine it yet, but it may even have to switch to ASIC, which means it's inherently more difficult (Bitcoin is mined with ASIC).

If there is no cap, it can't climb forever.

Think about how fiat currencies work. The more you print, the higher inflation climbs and therefore the less valuable it becomes. You can only print as much as there is demand for it.

And since there is not much real world use for doge, the demand we're seeing right now is purely to pump and dump...

Agreed there will be a few suckers who buy at $1 or $10 just to watch it drop to 0.1. IF you got in early and only spent a couple of bucks let it ride or take 50% profit at some stage just don't drop your life savings on it when it starts mooning

We long past 2017 levels... way past that.

They only adding 5 billion doge a year. A part of that actually just replaces "lost" coins. There are new people entering the market daily, having access to new coins is a good idea. Its inflationary, but only a little.

Was trading a bit of Doge yesterday and saw someone buy R1m Doge at R6 in a single order. If they're still holding, they're down about R330k now with the price hovering at R4.

The amount of dumb money in this market never ceases to amaze.

Which exchange was this on?

just buy a bit of your chosen crypto every month no matter what the price is, no difference to normal "stock" investing. It'll all sort itself out years down the line. And don't just invest in crypto for heavens sake, just make it around 10-20% of your portfolio and have fun with it. And don't listen to people saying you're buying in too high etc, those same people said that in 2017 when BTC was $17k.. buy when you want to

But R1m on Doge (which is seriously a joke) is madness, either that chap has R100m in the bank and is bored, or they are brain dead..
