Computers can now help you translate your dog’s yaps and howls.
Hungarian scientists, at the University of Budapest, have developed a computer program which assists in recognizing the emotional state of a dog.
According to the BBC, the emotional reactions of 14 dogs of the Hungarian Mudi breed were tested.
In the analysis 6 000 barks were used and the end result was that the program was found to only just out-perform humans.
The computer beat the human group by 3 percent with a tally of 43 percent correct entries to the human total of 40 percent.
The next step according to the researchers is to determine which characteristics and which emotional states belong to the different breeds.
