I'm weighing up my options at this point but has anyone done a credit card chargeback on a subscription debit and have any light to shed on the experience?
I started an expensive yearly subscription last year for a mobile app that was discounted, there was no indication that it would renew at the full price on the checkout page so I went ahead and got the subscription and left it at that. Fast forward to yesterday and I get billed at the full subscription price on the renewal date, which is a relatively substantial amount of money. The subscription was started on the companies website and not via Google or Apple's app store. I have emailed them requesting cancellation and a refund but I haven't heard back from them.
I have in the past got discounted subscriptions and they have renewed at the discounted rate not the full price, I have a few that have been going like that for years and I have had some that renewed at full price but that was clearly stated on the checkout page in no uncertain terms.
