Hi,

Not sure if its just me , but iam finding the purchasing of certs using domains.co.za very cumbersome and confusing ...

So i purchased a basic ssl cert for a web server running IIS.Now normally when you start the process off , you do the following ..
1) create a certificate request through IIS
2) once the .cer file has been created you then copy the contents of that .cer file into the order form
3) The cert provider will then send you the cert for you to install in IIS.

Now during the ordering process , there is no mention of you having to generate the CSR file using IIS.The certificate request file to automatically generated for you via the domains.co.za portal. This means that when they send you the cert file to be installed in IIS , it doesnt work , as the you havent generated te cert file from IIS.

Normally i deal directly with companies like Digicert , and the process is simple and straight forward. This is not a good first impression

Hi Ubercal

Sorry to hear you had some issues with the cert, when configuring the certificate, untick the option to "Autogenerate CSR" and this will provide you with a box to enter the contents of the IIS .cer file you request from IIS.

Please can you PM me your account details and will gladly get somebody to reach out to you and assist
