I made a donation to a non profit organization, it was done with my credit card.

My bank Charged me a R40 intl fee.

Is there anyway to dispute this with them?

No, it is the currency conversion fee. Did you donate $100?

I don't think we have tax on donations, maybe a fee yes. Tax on donation would be the definition of financial rape.

The bank fee is between you and your bank and has nothing to do with the purpose of the disbursement.

Above the SARS-defined threshold, donations are indeed subject to tax, as per gamer16's link.

Donations are taxed by SARS after you donate more that a certain limit as mentioned in above posts, what you asking about is a bank charge between you and your bank.
