Dongle issue

Hey guys

I have a Vodafone K3805Z that worked fine up until about 2 weeks ago. The dongle would not "enable" in the vodacom dashboard. I was running win 7 at the time. I'm running windows 8 now and still it gets picked up by windows but it's greyd out. Device manager identifies it as K3805Z but also not enabled.

I tried it 2 other pc's that runs win 7 and it worked fine. 100%.

What do you guys think the problem could be??

It's crappy with no internet at home.:(
 
OK will try that but the drivers that are on the dongle 10.1 does not work with win 8. So i'll have to check tomorrow to get it on the web.
 
Coincidentally just had this issue myself on a fresh Vodacom install about 30 minute ago strangely enough. Uninstalled Vodacom software and then reinstalled again seemed to work. Sorry can't help further though.
 
Ok, sounds like drivers then... I hate the Vodafone devices, horrible little creatures...

Maybe reinstall the drivers for the device?

Remove vodacom dashboard thingy and under Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers\Unspecified u should find the modem driver and remove it. Then just plug it in and let it install its driver and VD dashboard, worked for me

u runnin windows 8?
 
Sorry yes but that windows 7 settings. need to check windows 8
