Don't believe the 5G hype

A new research report by UBS warns that 5G is overhyped and you should not believe comments that it will make wired networks redundant.

7G is so 2015. We're at 10G over macrowave now.

It's the new tech naming after 4G failed to give the 1Gbps promised speeds after LTE failed to give the 100Mbps promised speeds after 3G failed to give the 10Mbps promised speeds.

This sums it up perfectly. Wireless won't be coming close to wired connections for the foreseeable future, especially not for consumers.

Reality is that wireless will never surpass coper/fiber in performance. It's getting better but it will never be the best performer.
