So here goes. I recharged enough money to buy a 1GB data bundle yesterday and sucessfully bought the bundle. I still had 5MB left and it showed on the balances, but the 1GB isn't showing.

It is now showing I have 0MB left but I'm still online.

Seems VC'S systems are dodge again.

Something going on. My wife's phone was showing 0 minutes, 0 MBs and 0 SMS's for a few hours last week but it was still working fine.

Normally request my detailed balance on a weekly balance via SMS. Today has been unable to send me anything, but can still view a summarised balance.

I can also get a summary that's wrong. The detailed just gives errors.

My point is don't believe the summary.

I only ever really look at my summary. Is there a way to check online or how do you do it?

My wife and I aren't getting those SMS'es anymore saying that you only have 3MB left, so we don't know when our data is depleted. She burnt through R200 in one night because of that. It's quite frustrating.

*111# has an option for balances. You can select 1 for summary and 2 for detailed.

A few years ago there was major delays between your data usage. By the time the sms came you would be 200MB out of bundle at R2/MB. It's more accurate now (if it works)

But here is the danger in this situation. Say I have R200 airtime that I can use to buy more data already loaded, but I have no idea how much is left. Before I know it my airtime is used out of bundle.

Now let's say I phone VC to complain and to get my airtime back. What do you think VC would do or say?

It's happened before, so they would give me a proverbial f-u and close the support call. That's the only way I know I got a f-u. The automatic closing of a call.

MTN and CellC to exactly the same. The only differentiater in our Mobile broadband space is signal, speed and bundle costs. It sure isn't service to the customer.

They might have to do the right thing and lose money and also start doing their jobs. Heaven forbid...

Maybe you have WASP content services loaded on your account. Send a free SMS "Stop All" to 30333 to check for Vodacom services.

No, it's incorrect stuffies from Vodacom's side.
It will show 0 now, then the correct one later, then nothing again later. I've noticed this on their website too.
