Pietermaritzburg - Two of the men injured in a shoot-out with the police after an ATM was blasted in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday morning died shortly afterwards, police said.

Police were waiting at the complex after receiving information that an ATM would be blown up in the early hours of Wednesday.

At about 02:30 they saw three men at the ATM and moments later there was an explosion.

Not that I generally like people dying, but serves them right if the blow up an ATM and then start shooting at police.
