I have an old car that i'm restoring but the inner doorpanels are rotten.
Any suggestions on someone that can fix/remould/restore door panels?
I've tried using fibreglass but you need a bit of skill for the end product to look good.
Thnx

what car?

i think your best bet would be finding someone stripping for spares or a scrap yard

Where are you located, maybe someone knows of someone in your area that's good with metal work.

The best option would be to buy new doors.

In that case he will have to go the cut and weld route.

the panel ponder :p

unless i am mistaken this is the parts he is looking for (but obviously not this exact one, this iis for a different car)

Ah :D

Aren't those made out of masonite on older cars (he does not state the year) and covered with foam & vinyl/leather? There must be people out there that can fix those. Alternatively buy new ones, maybe not local but overseas.

Maybe willemsa should post a few pics of these door panels so we can see what's cutting.

Yes they are made out of masonite. It is a 1970 Opel Manta. There must be guys that can mould new ones from fibreglass or a type of composite. I'll take some pics tonight.
