DOSBox games launcher

Meh, can't figure out how to actually find games once you're in the launcher. Just seems to scroll through a long list.

Can hit a letter to take you to say, C or M etc. and then scroll with arrow keys but there's so many games in each section it's kinda pointless. This looked a lot cooler before installing it :X3: .

I used DFend to launch DosBox games before. Had to manually configure all the games which was a bit of a pain.

Well, if you know which games you are looking for it could be neat.
I grew up playing games on Dos and there are quite a few oldies I'd like to play again, but not in the mood to set up dosbox manually for the 5th time.

Will give this a look.

I installed it and gave it a whirl. Pretty great actually. So, if you go to the install directory, there’s a “games” folder where you can actually see the games listed by name.

Is there an easy way to launch them or does it still require flipping through the IA index every time? Be cool if the IA frontend had a slightly better search option.

Still have to use that clunky navigation. Yeah, my first attempt to install failed because it only works if DosBox is installed on the C drive, so I wouldn’t have too high expectations. ;)

I agree that a menu with a text list and perhaps the title screenshot on the right would be 100x better. More so if the games were actually categorized.

I do expect that if you only kept only the titles you wanted in the game directory, and moved the others elsewhere, the existing interface would be almost palatable.
