Dota 2 Problem

I have this problem. I have an afrihost uncapped 4meg account as well as a telkom 20gig account. In dota 2 i get about 3000ms? But if i ping www.worldoftanks.eu i get 193ms. If i play diablo 3 i get 190ms If i play WoW i get 190 ms. All of this is europe. So how is my afrihost account unable to play dota 2? I can play every other game. I have emailed afrihost many times. and they say its a telkom problem with my line not syncing. meanwhile everything else works fine, Even if i use my telkom account I can play dota 2 fine. Only thing I cant do on my afrihost uncapped 4 meg account is play dota 2. Resetting ports fiddled around with dota 2 settings but no.

Well the game is still in beta, so the problem Coolstory within dota itself, id wait for the game to go full retail before maybe thinking it is your line, I get huge spikes in dota ever half an hour but not in any other games, so IM assuming it is dota itself.

Get a friend to create a private match and let him ping while he is waiting for you. If your ping is above 600 according to the loadscreen pings then its a routing prob. If its below you should check out steam support or lookaround in your steam settings.

had the same problem but with a axxess account, phoned the tech support, they said even they have the problem and cannot figure out how to fix it (they play as well). After a while the problem just went away for me.

A question though.
Are you being shapped on that uncapped account?

I have a few friends on afrihost 4meg and they have no problem with pings?
