Indeed, did the mybb one and speedtest.net

Oddly enough the mybb one is terrible, shows roughly 260ms, but speedtest.net comes in at between 6ms-10ms , any others I should try?

I made the move to WebAfrica after more issues with Afrihost yesterday. So I was just wondering if you were having the same issues.

This was going to be my next suggestion :) If you want to be extra sure, you can even download the app onto your smart phone and test it that way, just to be 100% certain it not your PC. Even though I highly doubt that.

For me, your fault seems to point towards your physical line (Or exchange). Other than your router and PC, it the only thing that is common each time you test.
 
I have a feeling I'm being connected to the Johannesburg server all the time, which would explain the ping, but will ping each location tonight to confirm. Still no idea how one would go about specifying which server ip to connect to :(

Suppose I could just block the Joburg IP in my router/firewall

Well I am based in Durban, and my ping is always around 30. So your location should not be the reason for your higher ping.
 
Not really sure what I did, apart from changing my "download location" from Joburg to Cape Town, but now my ping is between 5ms-20ms *yay*

Played a game last night with jacodebeer, struggled a bit against mid invoker with my TA. So this morning I checked dotabuff :

It was me who happens to be ****. plus I had to buy a radiance before 30min, was nowhere close :( damn challenges
After that I watched a movie and about 10pm I thought nee hell, I need some redemption, played KoTL, amazing pushing power, ended up loosing again, in a base race, at least I only died 3 times that game...

Ha ha. I don't know why I taking such a liking to her lately! Despite my poor win rate with her!

My individual KDA lately have been pretty decent, but that means nothing if I keep losing :P
