Tip: if you don't know invoker lane rather than mid. Go Quas Exort and get the sunstrike going. Preferably play with bloodseeker so you can see low health hero's run away and time your sun strikes. Easy kills sometimes. he doesn't need lots of gold, but rather lots of levels.

I'm useless with invoker but sort of decent with Pudge. I find a blink dagger works very well with Pudge. It not only allows you to blink into the trees and hook heroes into areas where their mates can't help them but also when you are in lane it allows you to blink over the creep line to hook a hero who believes himself to be safe behind his creep barrier. Some people use Force Staff and it certainly is easier to get than the blink dagger but I prefer the dynamics of the blink dagger and that you don't leave evidence in the form of destroyed trees when you go into the trees to hook.

Also Hood of Defiance is great because it not only gives you some nice regen but it substantially reduces the damage Pudge takes from rot.

Urn of Shadows is also a great early to mid game item to help with the health regen though it becomes a little less useful late game. I grab an Urn of Shadows and Arcane Boots and find going that route I don't need a bottle.

Bleh, now you got my installing Dota2 on my work laptop :D

If we ever need a teamspeak server I will be happy to host one at hetzner for us :D

Add them as friends, that is what I have done. I do wish Steam had some sort of function to group friends though because sometimes I lose track of who is a MyBB guy and who isn't. :p
 
Or go to groups on your friends list (one tab says friends and the other says groups) if the guy is online - even if he isn't on your friends list - he will be on there.

ghoti - a TS server will be awesome! that way the communication can be even better.... ;)

Both in game and teamspeak support open mic or push to talk but I normally use push to talk in game or teamspeak open mic. I just feel that if we do a game with 3 or 4 people on ts open mic we don't want to annoy the other 1 or 2 people with our chatter, but then I do find it makes you ignore chatting with the others in game.
