Played some games yesterday and played with VERY low level okes. Pain in the arse is they all randomed. Troll mid and 5 minutes in he asks: "How does this guys ulti work?"

I almost fell off my chair.

lol had a few similar experiences over the weekend with one oke asking his friend why sandking ulti isn't working. It's times like those you know it's not going to end well.

Yea but 1900 games does not matter, l think it maybe did bug out. but you earn MMR points in pubs aswell my one guy l play with has a system that will tell him if its gona be a high skill lvl game or lower. it takes into account all the stats that those guys. and when its high skill we tend to have games that last a hour and a half.

Windranger with deso and ulti stick, and I thought drow was OP.

F##k me.

Yup.

Watched a game (Navi I think) where they built the Ranger like that. Carries and Tanks just melt in front of her. It's insane. Add MKB and its gg.

I played some matchmaking yesterday, only watch games and played MM like last year ago, well I went full on support with Lich and putting sentry wards everywhere, because Riki... and being a good support all round, well my team pretty much sucked and fed the Riki and Silencer till they one shot me, even though I only had green boosts and a mek, I had the most kills. We lost something like 50 kills to 20. Was great fun playing a focused support only.

The life of playing full out support can be a very lonely one as not many people tend to go that route anymore. I myself played SS last night as full out support since I was the only support hero. It's a tough task getting no farm, wards are horribly expensive, especially sentries/dust with a enemy mirana ulti keeping our team on their toes.

What irks me most during these kind of games is when you get those annoying players saying WE NEED WARDS!

I mean really wtf, wards are on cooldown, is it the supports fault that the enemy is busy dewarding with two support players?

So now the poor support either has to go yolo dewarding the map, or play it save, smoke up and deward and hope for the best, in the meantime with the team asking why aren't you in team fights.

These are more than likely some of the reasons why people don't play full out support in pub games anymore as the SUPPORT very rarely gets recognition for all the crap they have to go too to protect their entire team.

As a mostly support player, on the odd occasion when I feel like playing another role, always thank the support for buying wards/couriers etc etc

I usually play a carry or mid and when I play a support it is almost invariably one of the sort of semi-supports that can deal out vicious amounts of damage with no items (lina etc.). I can't remember the last time I played a game where I didn't thank my entire team and give them all a good game. I also remind the other team when they pull a "wow well played <insert core here> that win was all you buddy" that it isn't all about the cores and then give a big thanks to the supports. When a support places a good ward that nets our team a juicy kill we would otherwise have missed, or a great teamfight engagement through smoke, I make sure to point that out and tell them to keep up the good work. Team morale is important and supports need a lot of encouragement especially since they're often the squishies getting picked off.

I agree that supports don't get enough recognition and it isn't fair. A good support can easily mean the difference between a win and getting stomped.

wind ranger is very situational but can destroy problem is if you go up against a heavy magic burst damage team she gets hurt most of the time

I get very vocal if I am the only one supporting. Sometimes when you ask a carry to buy you a set of wards they don't really mind. I have had cases where the mid laner buys me a tp because I am just flat out of cash. If all 5 don't play together you WILL lose.

When i play full on support I buy Hand of Midas, it just makes it that much easier to buy support items.

Ok, so first up it must be stated that I still consider myself pretty noob (Just over 400 games) but I'm playing the offlane role which I prefer, and we have one lone poor support, I'm happy to buy the odd set of wards or TP when they need them. They just need to ask.

What finishes me is a "support" who actually spends money on damage items instead of Utility items. Also, when I do go support, and I pull they lane, then the carry moans that he is getting harass from enemy creep... Finishes me. Some understand when you explain, but others not so much.
