i can create games and play em but when friend comes over to lan i create he can see it but cant join...i have done the port forwarding 6112 to tcp and udp?!? can anyone help... i would like to create games and allow a friend to join!

Your router needs to be able to support hairpin connections. ie ur mates connection goes out to the server and back 2 ur router...then back 2 his pc.

not all routers can do it..esp telkom routers

well i have the Telkom Mega100WR router guess i have to get proper router then to set this up...btw out of interest how do you go about setting it up so that lan players can join online game??? thanks again

Most ADSL routers support pppoe which is what you must set your router to. My router connects by itself and allows pppoe at the same time. I can therefore connect my PC via pppoe and receive a different IP than that of the ADSL router. My mates would then connect via the router or their own ADSL accounts through my physical ADSL line. If you use the above setup you can host. Don't worry about speeds. 3x pppoe connections and 1 router connection did not slow my 386 line. I hosted and everyone even on the other remote Internet players had decent speeds.
