To everybody that plays DOTA.

Yes I know there is tons of websites with different Strategies and explaining ways to play...but not here.

Lets talk about best items for the heros and best combos of heros to play together. What items to buy early game and how to save cash. Which hero is the best to defend against another hero and so on.

Personally I've been playing for about 3 years online now and I still struggle quite allot. My favorite hero is "Dark Seer". Think he is the best at farming cash and a great assist hero for escaping a gank.

you my friend, are gonna be left behind with a tiny pool of leftover dota vets, while everyone else moved to HoN...

the dota community sucks, and so does the graphics and interface. the keys suck and it has no built-in voip either.

there won't be any new heroes and the WC3 engine is too dusty now.

Hmmm I think you are wrong. 1. I dont care for graphics 2. Icefrogs does create more hero's 3. Dota will never DIE!!!
 
How much is Duke Nukem 3D, and How much is COD:MW2 gonna cost?
 
well that is a good comparason...think not. Im not here to dis HoN anyway. I want to chat about dota and strategies. Why dont you find a thread that says "Dota is better than HoN" and go post your opinions there.
 
i have already created a Hon/DotA stratigies thread. it failed.

why? because everything IS already online...much better stratigies/etc.

but im pretty sure this one will be a success....

HoN = 30$
Dota = War3 + Expansion Pack unless you a lowlife pirate.

PS. Go check out Playdota.com under heroes and read the notes, they normally include their hidden mechanics.
For example Zeus's ulti only reveals invis units doesnt damage them. Also the tauran's ulti does more damage if around dead enemy corpses.

Also has all the strategy guides you'll ever need.
 
Seriously can't understand why you guys are carpet bombing this thread. This is the gaming section, ergo Gezza posted here. If dota indeed is old crap and boring, this thread wont last long. Start a new thread to market HoN, but keep the high latencies on the down low:P
